Solembia



Solembia is an upcoming sci-fi puzzle/adventure game, currently in development.
It is a type of story-based walking sim that combines a dual-narrative structure with unique breathing mechanics.

At its heart, Solembia is a story about memory, reconciliation and environmental issues, told through the mindset, emotions and recollections of a young woman returning home after years away, to visit her dying father.

Meanwhile, a lonely astronaut gets stranded on a distant planet…
Across inhospitable landscapes - both real and remembered - their journeys intertwine, converging in a shared pursuit: to reconcile with the past.



The project began in 2019 as a script for a stand-alone 3D animated film. Over time, as the script evolved and became more refined, so too did our skills and confidence, guiding us toward the world of game design and development.

In 2024 a first prototype for a side-scrolling breathing sim was developed.

A VR version of Solembia has participated in Onassis ONX Proof-Of-Concept Acceleration Lab in 2024 where it was pitched and received a participation grant. It was also one of the selected projects for the first TIFF Agora XR Lab in 2025.
