Christos Bourantas is an architect,  designer and filmmaker. He has a passion for telling stories and conceiving new worlds.
His body of work includes primarly (but not strictly) digital creations that follow a cross-media, narrative-driven approach. In his projects he tries to combine aesthetic and functional elements from 3d design, graphic arts, cinema, technology and research in New Media.

Between 2008‐2017, as a freelance designer, he focused on architectural design & visualization, while exploring other creative fields, including animation, game design, sound design and writing, through various commissions and collaborations. He has been involved in production design and art direction for the moving image and was awarded with the Special Jury Prize for his animation work Aurelia (AIFF 2015).

He has been a tutor in 3D design, participated in various group art shows and in 2018 he had his first solo exhibition Fractoids (A-DASH project space, Athens).

From 2017 to 2020, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of EKEFE "Demokritos", where he took part in the development of multimedia projects related to Cultural Heritage (Ariadne’s Journey, Shield of Achilles), as well as in proposal writing for European research programs (NSRF, Horizon 2020).

From 2021-2023 he worked as a creative director at the company Faliro XR, managing the development of Mixed Realities (AR/VR/MR) applications.

He studied Architecture (mArch, bArch) at the National Technical University of Athens.
